Eagle County Communities We Serve

About Eagle County, Colorado

Offering a diverse mix of towns, census-designated places and unincorporated areas, real estate for sale in Eagle County runs the gamut from affordable condos for sale to multi-million-dollar homes for sale. With both working class, blue-collar mountain towns and high-end, exclusive ski resort villages, the county presents nearly every type of real estate imaginable - including new homes, townhouses and condominiums, exquisite contemporary remodels and untouched vacant lots available to construct the home of your dreams from the ground up.

Eagle County first made headlines in the late 1800s when gold and silver was discovered at Ground Hog Mine near Red Cliff. Today, it's one of Colorado's most adventurous counties, with large portions of it consumed by the beautiful White River National Forest and the majestic Eagle River. It is also home to Vail and Beaver Creek, two of the world's premier ski resorts.

Most of Eagle County is accessible from Interstate 70 about two hours from Denver, but portions of it extends deeper into the mountains. For example, El Jebel, a town in the southwest corner of Eagle County, is only a few miles from Aspen along Colorado Highway 82.

The northern part of Eagle County is home to the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. More remote areas like McCoy and Bond are along Highway 131 on the way to Steamboat Springs. The small town of Burns is on the Colorado River near the confluence with Derby Creek. Real estate in northern Eagle County has sweeping panoramic views and plenty of privacy. Land here is very affordable because it is further away from larger towns along the interstate. It's the ideal location for a mountain cabin for hiking, hunting or fishing, or just escaping from the hustle of daily life.

The largest selection of real estate in Eagle County is in the middle, where Interstate 70 splits the county. About 60 miles of I-70 is in Eagle County. In the east, Vail and Beaver Creek have luxury slopeside condos and ski-in, ski-out private homes that command premium prices. Vail Village and Beaver Creek each have their own character and vibe. The southeastern portion of the county presents real estate ownership opportunities in small mountain communities like Minturn, Gilman and Red Cliff that are close to the ski resorts, but a little off the beaten path.

Further west, real estate prices are lower in communities like Avon, Edwards, Wolcott, Eagle, Gypsum and Dotsero. There are several wonderful homes for sale right on the beautiful Eagle River. These communities offer the quintessential mountain lifestyle - plenty of fresh air, open space, natural beauty and endless outdoor excitement. Local waterways like Brush Creek, Gypsum Creek, Sylvan Lake and Ruedi Reservoir are ideal for fly-fishing, kayaking, rafting and stand-up paddle boarding.
